line up for EduGeek.net North and has now open registration for the conference.

EduGeek.net, the leading website for ICT Support staff in education, is please to
announce topics and speakers for the conference. The conference, taking place on
19th April 2006 at Rochdale City Learning Centre, will include talks from about
Windows Vista, Blogging, Thin clients and more. Spokesperson Russell Dyas said: -

"After our first conference last year, and all the positive feedback we had, the
only negative aspect was that people in schools and college further north wanted
conferences and workshops closer to them. The northern conference is our first
conference and we plan to do a second one in south later this year, as well as
several workshops in conjunction with the ICT Register and Specialist Schools &
Academies Trust."

About EduGeek.net

Edugeek.net, is a peer support group that seeks to share information
and best practice amongst technical staff, was started in early summer
2005 and its members have worked hard to produce a comprehensive
forum where technical and support staff get and give advice to one
another.

They are also working with the ICT Register (run by the Specialist
Schools & Academies Trust) to expand the support available to
technical staff in school and learning centres across the country.

The latest developments also include the creation of regional training
workshops for technicians, looking at deployment of it solutions in
school, including work with Apple to follow up their regional training
session for teachers, with regional training sessions for technicians.

Edugeek are developing a number of podcasts and screencasts for
technicians over the next few months to add to this and are always
willing to try new technologies or ideas to make ICT in schools that
little bit better.
